As I was writing my Mother’s Day cards last night to all the strong female figures in my life, I couldn’t help but get a little sentimental. It’s easy to think about all the ways you resemble or differ from those who raised you. What recipes you inherited, what skills you share, or how you have the same smile. Whether complicated or close, it’s easy to have strong emotions when thinking about ‘mom.’
