How To Prepare For College

For high school seniors it’s an exciting time.  Right around the corner are final papers, senior photos, homecoming, and prom.  Before you know it, it will be cap and gown.  With all the excitement, it may be easy to get distracted and not pay attention to college preparation details. Students will need to fill out admission applications, scholarship essays and do their due diligence on financial aid. College preparation during senior year is filled with difficult decisions and conversations that require full engagement.

A recent study out of Kansas State University, conducted by Sonya Britt, found that the leading cause of arguments in a family was over finances. The survey discovered that both men and women identified money as the main source of confrontation and that couples of all income levels faced money-related stress. Wouldn’t it be freeing to not have these confrontations?
