A Commitment to Your Privacy

At Wealth Legacy Institute, Inc. (WLI) our most important asset is our relationship with you.  We are honored that you have entrusted us with your financial affairs, and we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of information we maintain about you.  Establishing and adhering to an effective privacy policy is an important part of that dedication.  Our privacy policy applies to all clients with whom we have a relationship and is also extended to each of our former clients.

1.           Your Privacy Is Not For Sale

Simply put, we do not and will not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

2.           Information We Collect About You Online

We collect personal information about you in a number of ways:

                                    • Application and registration information.
                                      We collect information from you when you agree to our planning or consulting services or open an account.  The information we collect may include your name, address, phone number, email address, Social Security number and date of birth, as well as details about your interests, investments and investment experience.
          • Transaction and experience information.
            Once you have agreed to our planning or consulting services or open an account with us, we collect and maintain personal information about you, your account activity, including your transactions, balances, positions and history. This information allows us to administer your account and provide the services you have requested.
  • Website usage.
    When you visit our website, our computer may use devices known as "cookies," graphic interchange format files (GIFs), or other similar Web tools to enhance your Web experience. These tools enable us to recognize you when you return to our site, maintain your Web session while you browse, as well as help us provide you with a better experience at WLI.

3.           Email Information

We recognize that email can be the preferred mode of communication for some of our website users.  If you provide us with your email address when registering for an online service, program or when accessing your account online, we will use it to contact you about the service or program or about your account.

We may use your email address to send you the following types of email messages:

4.           How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering and expanding our business activities, providing client service and making available other services to our clients and prospective clients.

5.           What are Cookies?

A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a Website, that site's computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. 6.           How Do We Use Information We Collect from Cookies?

As you use our Website, the site uses its cookies to differentiate you from other users. Cookies, in conjunction with our Web server's log files, allow us to calculate the aggregate number of people visiting our Web site and which parts of the site are most popular. This helps us gather feedback in order to constantly improve our Web site and better serve our clients. Cookies do not allow us to gather any personal information about you and we do not generally store any personal information that you provided to us in your cookies.

7.           How We Share Information about You Outside of WLI

We do not offer information about our clients to outside parties for marketing purposes.  We may provide access to information about you to outside companies and other third parties in certain limited circumstances, including:

  • To help us process transactions for your account; When we use another company to provide services for us, such as financial planning software or printing and mailing your account statements;
  • When we believe that disclosure is required or permitted under law. For example, we may be required to disclose personal information to cooperate with regulatory or law enforcement authorities.

We take precautions to ensure the information we collect about you is protected.  Companies we use to provide support services are not allowed to use information about our clients for their own purposes.  We limit their use of information to the performance of the specific services we have requested.  Our staff is trained about privacy and is required to safeguard personal information.

10.         How Do We Secure Information Transmissions?

Email is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we request that you do not send private information to us by email. Some of the information you may enter on our Web site may be transmitted securely via Secure Sockets Layer SSL, 128 bit encryption services. Pages utilizing this technology will have URLs that start with HTTPS instead of HTTP. In order to securely access your personal information via our website, you will need the latest browser version available with SSL and 128 bit encryption capabilities.Our private area of WLI site require the use of a user ID and password as an additional security measure that helps protect your confidential information. This allows WLI to verify who you are, thereby allowing you access to your account information, and preventing unauthorized access.When you have finished using a secure area of WLI, make sure you always click on the "Log Out" link which appears on the top of every secure page. When you click on it, no further secure transactions can be conducted without re-entering your user ID and password. This also helps prevent unauthorized access to your account if you walk away from your computer.You should be aware that browser software often "caches" a page as you look at it, meaning that some pages are saved in your computer's temporary memory. Therefore, you may find that clicking on your "Back" button shows you a saved version of a previously viewed page. Caching in no way affects the security of your confidential user ID or password. If you use a computer in a public place to access your account information, simply quit/exit the browser software before leaving to minimize the possibility of anyone else viewing your confidential information.Lastly, you should be aware that other Internet sites that you link to from the WLI site may contain privacy provisions that differ from the provisions of our Privacy Statement. To ensure your privacy is protected, we recommend that you review the privacy statements of other Internet sites you visit. 

11.        Greater Accuracy Means Better Protection  

We are committed to keeping accurate, up-to-date records to help insure the integrity of the information we maintain. If you identify an inaccuracy in this information, or if you need to make a change to it, please contact us promptly by calling 303-753-7578.

12.         Certain Disclosures

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the law or comply with legal process served on us or affiliated parties; (b) protect and defend our rights and property, our site, the users of our site, and/or our affiliated parties; (c) act under circumstances to protect the safety of users of our site, us, or third parties.

13.         What About Other Websites Linked to Our Website?

We are not responsible for the practices employed by Websites linked to or from our Website nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other Websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of our Website. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our Website to another Website, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other Website, including Websites which have a link on our Website, is subject to that Website's own rules and policies. Please read over those rules and policies before proceeding.
